It's the weekend! A time to relax our bodies and minds in preparation for next week. We have had such an intense week. If we weren't working muscles we had never before known existed, then we were having 'Aha!' moments in class. We have had so much to take in this week, it has been amazing. Sadly a number of my group headed home today as people can stay 1, 2, 3, 4 or more weeks here. We were told on more than one occasion that we were quite a lively bunch. So it was not fun to see the 1 weekers head out.
This morning after breakfast I went to a cardio class and my first ever yoga class. Thankfully it was 'Gentle Yoga'. It was okay. I liked the beginning of the class when we did most of our moves with the assistance of a fit ball. But once I had to get on the floor and support myself in positions that required strain on my wrists and knees, I wasn't happy. :0) I'd be willing to try it again next Saturday to see those parts are stronger, but right now I am not jumping out to buy a mat and find a guru.
Lunch (turkey bean burrito - awesome) was then followed by some lovely downtime with some of the other ladies. We watched some movies, played some games and had some great conversations. Oh and somewhere in there I did laundry.
Dinner was a veggie chili with cornbread and because I didn't want the banana chocolate shake, I got some berry sorbet. Very good.
I got the new schedule for next week today and I am looking forward to another full week of classes and fitness classes! I won't put up my Sunday schedule because aside from meals, nothing is scheduled. Julia and I are probably going to go for a relaxing stroll on the logging trail outside, but other than that, we were told to rest for the day so our muscles and re-cooperate for next week! Also, a new group of ladies arrive tomorrow, so I look forward to meeting some new women!
Sounds like a lovely day. The week went fast, didn't it? Hope Joe is surviving okay without you. You continue to amaze and inspire me. Have a nice day off tomorrow!
