At dinner tonight, my table was talking about gastric bypass surgery and one lady, Donna, had mentioned that she considered it at one point, but then saw how miserable others were who had it done. We all agreed that it doesn't change the way you think and whether your stomach is big or small, you are still going to want to eat the same as before. Then Donna said something that really made sense to me. She said, "My body is a reflection of my mind."
That just reiterates how important it is to retrain the way we think about our health, food, and fitness. And that is why this program at GM was appealing to me. This program isn't just about eating better and working out, but it really focuses in on how we think and helps us to get out of our diet mentality.
Excellent insight!
